FEMA’s G386 Mass Fatalities Incident Response Course is a two-day training program that prepares local and state response personnel to manage incidents with large numbers of fatalities, such as plane crashes and terrorism events. The course is part of FEMA’s Advanced Professional Series and covers topics such as:
- Introduction to Mass Fatality Incidents
- Planning for Mass Fatality Incidents
- Operating at the Scene of Mass Fatality Incidents
- Recovering from Mass Fatality Incidents
- Procedures for Disaster Victim Idenfication
The course also covers incident management, establishing morgues, family assistance support operations and federal government assistance and will conclude with a tabletop exercise.
