F1RST Hosts Free DART Training Course for Public Safety Professionals

Land O' Lakes, FL – July 22, 2024 – Florida's Forensic Institute for Research, Security, and Tactics (F1RST) is pleased to announce the upcoming DART - Drone Assessment and Response Tactics training course, presented by New Mexico Tech. This free, one-day event will take place on Monday, August 5th, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the F1RST Classroom located at 10370 Charles Bo Harrison Way, Land O' Lakes, FL. Registration is required.


The DART course is specifically designed for public safety professionals, providing them with the essential skills to detect, identify, track, assess, respond, and report Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) activity. Participants will learn about the current UAS criminal and terrorist threats, as well as analog and electronic detection techniques and response tactics.


The course includes demonstrations and exercises, offering participants a practical understanding of various UAS types, their capabilities, and simulated UAS threats involving Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).


With limited spots available, this free training offers a unique opportunity for public safety professionals to enhance their knowledge and skills in UAS threat response.
