WAIVER OF LIABILITY – F1RST CAMPUS

THIS IS A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT. BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT, YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO BRING A COURT ACTION TO RECOVER COMPENSATION OR OBTAIN ANY OTHER REMEDY FOR INJURIES OR DAMAGE TO YOURSELF OR YOUR PROPERTY ARISING OUT OF PARTICIPATION IN OR OBSERVATION OF ACTIVITIES AT THE PASCO SHERIFF’S OFFICE/F1RST CAMPUS, INCLUDING ALL FACILITIES, TRAINING AREAS, AND PROGRAMS.

I acknowledge I am eighteen (18) years of age or older. I, and on behalf of my heirs, agents, assigns, beneficiaries, executors, and administrators, understand that the activities, facilities, and training programs I have chosen to participate in or observe at the F1RST Campus involve risks, including but not limited to physical injury, death, or property damage. Risks include potential exposure to dangerous training environments, hazards such as uneven surfaces, structural risks, confined spaces, exposure to training materials or techniques, and other conditions that may pose risks to participants and observers. I agree to read and abide by all safety rules and regulations provided and assume any and all risks associated with these activities, whether known or unknown, including but not limited to personal injury, property loss, and theft.

In consideration for being allowed to use and/or observe activities at the F1RST Campus, I, on behalf of myself and my heirs, agents, assigns, beneficiaries, executors, and administrators, do hereby absolutely and unequivocally agree to release, save, and hold harmless Florida’s Forensic Institute for Research, Security, and Tactics (F1RST), the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Chris Nocco, and all their agents, employees, assigns, and successors in interest from any claim, demand, or liability which may arise out of any loss, damage, injury, or death I may sustain. This includes any property theft, unexplained disappearance, or damage occurring during my participation in or observation of activities at the F1RST Campus, even if such loss, injury, or damage results from the negligence of F1RST, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Chris Nocco, or any of their officers, agents, or employees.

Furthermore, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Chris Nocco, F1RST, and all their agents, employees, assigns, and successors in interest for any and all damages caused by my participation in F1RST activities, including but not limited to personal injury or property damage arising from my negligence or that of individuals I bring to the Campus. This includes costs associated with defending any claims brought against F1RST, Sheriff Chris Nocco, or the Pasco Sheriff’s Office.

F1RST makes no representations or warranties regarding the suitability, applicability, or accuracy of the information or techniques presented for your particular agency or circumstances. Training content is provided for general educational purposes and is not intended to address the specific needs of any individual or agency. F1RST does not guarantee the success or effectiveness of any techniques demonstrated or endorse their adoption by participants.

By participating in any F1RST training program, you understand that F1RST is not engaged in providing legal, tactical, or professional guidance specific to you or your agency. F1RST encourages you to consult with your agency’s training staff, chain of command, legal department, and policy unit before implementing any information or techniques presented at the F1RST Campus.

Neither F1RST, Sheriff Chris Nocco, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, nor any affiliated trainers, employees, agents, or entities will assume responsibility for improper or unlawful use of any information presented at F1RST. Nor shall they be liable for any loss, injury, or damages (direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special) arising from the use or application of information or techniques provided at F1RST.

By participating in or observing activities or training at F1RST, you agree to assume full responsibility for your actions and outcomes. Any decisions made or actions taken based on the information provided at F1RST are entirely your responsibility. Your attendance at F1RST implies consent to this Disclaimer and agreement to its terms.
